Chairman’s Community Award Scheme
The new Chairman’s Community Award scheme is Higham Parish Council’s opportunity for people who live in Higham to celebrate and recognise the contribution to the community of an individual or group of residents.
If you know of an individual, local group, or even a whole street that has gone that extra mile and made a difference please do nominate by sending in your reasons along with your contact details to our Parish Clerk (Clerk@Higham-kent-pc.gov.uk).
All nominees must reside in the village. Their work or involvement must be in a voluntary capacity.
Please give a detailed explanation including examples to support their nomination as this is the only information used to assess the nomination.
This might include
- Brought credit or benefits to the village and residents
- Gone the extra mile to provide services and improve quality of life for local people or an individual
- Benefitted the community through volunteering activities/fundraising to deliver a specific project.
The winner will be selected by an independent panel in March 2023 and an award presented at the Parish Annual Assembly.
