Higham Memorial Hall
Built on land gifted to the Parish Council in 1947 by a generous local landwoner, this wonderful building, known locally as ‘The Village Hall’, has long served as the hub of Higham where many vaired clubs and societies meet and socialise.
It lies a short walk from the centre of the village on School Lane and is set in a peaceful rural location surrounded by the village recreation ground, open farmland and good old-fashioned Kentish fruit orchards.
There is ample car parking with allocated disabled spaces.
This heated main hall boasts a clear floor area of 12m x 18.4m (221 sq. m), a raised stage measuring 4.6m x 7.2m (33 sq. m) with front curtains and flies and a 3m x 3m electrically-operated projection screen. The main hall is ideal for wedding parties, retirement parties, badminton, performances, award ceremonies, film screenings, public meetings, discos – the list goes on!
Need seating for your function? The Memroial Hall has 150 steel-framed stackable chairs with padded seats and backs plus plenty of tables for hire too.
Currently home to such clubs as Irish Dancing, Indoor Bowls and Dog Training, this main hall is perfect for your club or soc.
The kitchen in the Memorial Hall lies adjecent to both the main and small halls and is a fully-equipped commercial kitchen with stainless steel surfaces, cupboards and trolleys. Equipment includes
