I have been a Parish Councillor since 2016.
I have led the work to create the Village Plan and takes a lead on allotments and highways issues including the Lower Thames Crossing campaigns.
I work with village volunteers to help keep Higham clean and tidy by organising regular litter pick sessions and gardening works.
Now retired, I worked for Kent County Council Library Service and I have lived in Higham since the early 1980s.
I am currently the Chair of Higham Village History Group and an active member of the Friends of St Mary’s Church Committee, as well as volunteering at Higham Youth Club and Higham Library.
